The Cane Corso puppies in this video are playing with each other. It is rare to find videos of Cane Corso, puppies or adults. Cane Corso is an Italian Mastiff. This is a giant breed that can grow to 120 pounds. Hard to imagine that they were once THIS small.

He was bred to hunt big games and to guard properties, according to Vetstreet. His size alone would be intimidating to a potential intruder. If this is your first time owning a dog, you might want to choose another breed. And if you’ve only had breeds such as Retrievers or Spaniels or toy dogs, this may not be a fit for you.

Characteristics of a Cane Corso

Calming bed for dogs for travelling or new home

Besides being large and powerful, the intelligent Cane Corso is an active and headstrong person. Someone who is consistent and firm can be a fit. But not someone who is forceful. This is the reason why if you want to be a dog parent for the first time, Cane Corso may not be as easy to train as say, a Poodle.

Socialize Cane Corso puppies early

Cane Corso loves his family. That doesn’t mean he is going to be affectionate. He wants to be near you, yet does not demand your attention or physical affection. Start socializing a Cane Corso as early as possible. Expose him to different people, sounds, sights, so he learns to discern what good guys feel like and who warrants his suspicion.

Enroll him in puppy kindergarten, then basic obedience class. It would be nice if the trainer understand the psychology of the Cane Corso. This is not a dog who likes to lie around and do nothing. Give him a job. Let him be your walking companion. Jog or walk with him at least a mile everyday, plus some training for about 20 minutes. You can learn more about the temperament of a Cane Corso here.

Enjoy watching these Cane Corso puppies playing with each other.

This is a touching video. Fiona can see now after her eye surgery. Dr. Michael Chang and his team took great care of Fiona. And the support from around the world through both donation and purchasing the book “Our Lives Have Gone To The Dogs” made the eye surgery for Fiona possible. There is no blood in this video at all. It only showed briefly that Fiona is on the operation table. Then 24 hours later, she was out to greet her friends, happy to see their faces. She enjoys the car ride. Everything looks new. And back home, she is enjoying yummy treats as before. Soon, she’s bouncing around in the backyard, in bed, in the living room, and with really great aim!

Fiona can now see, thanks to the outpour of generosity

Calming bed for dogs for travelling or new home

Annie Hart writes in Dog Heirs the most moving story of how Hope For Paws helps not only Fiona, but add to the momentum of adding awareness to providing homes to dogs who have been rescued. When Fiona’s video was posted, within days, it was on dozens of major news sources around the world. The Hagars were overwhelmed by the outpour of calls, emails, thank you’s, and donation to help Fiona.

Passing it forward to help other dog owners

When the writer contacted Eldad for tips on raising money for a very sick dog at the Bill Foundation, Eldad made a call to the vet and paid for the entire vet bill. He said it was paying forward for the support that he received for Fiona when she needed her eye surgery. When Eldad started making these videos, it was to share with his parents 10,000 miles away what he was involved with so they can participate in his life virtually.

Veterinary schools use these videos to educate students

Now, veterinary schools use the videos to educate their students. Supervisors of shelters use them to teach staff how to slow down when working with an animal that is very scared. You can read this most touching story here. To see Fiona’s life after her eye surgery, watch this video.

Video of Pomeranians licking each other. Learn why dogs lick each other. Sometimes it's just saying hello, but this is not always the case.

The post [VIDEO] These Pomeranian Brothers Sharing A Bonding Moment appeared first on Doggie Outpost.

The Pomeranian brothers in this video are sharing a bonding moment. Or maybe trying to get a taste of the food the other one just ate. Actually, there could be several reasons why dogs lick each other’s mouths, according to Naomi Millburn on Cuteness.

Why do dogs lick each other’s mouth?

She did some research and gathered information from several sources in her article. One of the reasons is what it looks like–showing affection to each other. A version of sloppy kisses. It can also be an invitation to play. Which means when our dog kisses us, that could be their way of inviting us to play with them. Perhaps one way to test that theory is to start playing, and see if they stop kissing you.

One reason dogs lick is to say hello

Calming bed for dogs for travelling or new home

Another reason for licking another dog’s mouth is an enthusiastic way to say hello. Our human version of “I am so happy to see you.” If this is the intent of the dogs, it is a sure signal that they are on good terms with each other. There is also the interpretation that the dog doing the licking thinks the other dog is his superior.

Another reason dogs lick is to make peace

Still another reason of a dog licking another dog’s mouth is a way to make peace, to smooth things over. If some conflict is starting on some level, one dog may lick the other to say “I’m not interested in a fight. Let’s make peace, okay?”

Subordination is another reason dogs lick

There is still one more reason–subordination. It’s admitting defeat or vulnerability. Admitting his “inferiority” in relationship to the other dog. Again, this is a way of saying “I want peace here.” Now that’s a lot of potential interpretations of what looks like a simple kiss to us, isn’t it? You can read more about this topic here.

Enjoy watching these Pomeranian twin brothers showing affection to each other. If you enjoy Pomeranian videos, here’s another one for you.
