You must have given your dog some food from your plate at one point or another, right? Who could resist those pleading eyes?
Laura Moss writes in Mother Nature Network that there are 11 human food that are fine for your dogs. And there are 5 that would harm them.
Along with the OK list, there are exceptions, depending on your dog’s health condition.
A few of these are green beans, carrots, salmon.
The 5 things NOT to feed your dogs are:
- chocolate
- grapes and raisens
- onions
- avocado
- alcohol
Here’s an excerpt from the article:
- Oatmeal: Oatmeal is a good source of fiber, making it great for dogs with bowel irregularity issues, and it’s also safe for dogs with wheat allergies. Before serving it to your pet, cook the oatmeal and don’t add any sugar.
- Broccoli: This vitamin-rich vegetable can be a great occasional nutrition boost for dogs. However, it shouldn’t make up more than 10 percent of a dog’s diet as it could cause gastrointestinal irritation.
