This white German Shepherd is Shadow. Beside her is a newborn Pygmy goat, a breed of miniature domestic goat.
For some reason, the baby goat thinks Shadow is its mother. Shadow doesn’t mind at all! In fact, she likes the goat very much. She licks it and cares for it the way she would care for her very own puppy.
There’s something very sweet about an animal “adopting” babies of other species. Maybe they are “species blind.” That’s a nice idea. 🙂
