The Retriever Coyote in this video is Bailey, and she just adopted 10 baby chicks that morning. The baby chicks showed up in this family’s backyard that very morning. No one knows what happened to their mother. Bailey simply assumes the role of Mom for these 10 babies.
She sniffs the chicks to greet them. There was one closest to the camera that seems a bit timid of Bailey. So she made a special effort to greet the timid chick and moves toward her to sniff her. It only took a couple of seconds for the chick to feel “I am safe with this giant dog.” It’s beautiful to watch animals adopting babies of other species.
