The Retriever in this video is helping two Retriever friends resolve their fight over a tennis ball.
Turn up your volume for this video. I seldom see Retrievers fighting over anything. In this video, the 2 dogs are not physically fighting, but having a standstill on WHO gets the tennis ball. They are literally nose to nose. Both are holding on to the ball with equal intensity. You can hear their vocal expressions.
The mediator dog comes over and, with a sense of humor and warmth, rests his chin on top of his friends’ nose. I think the 2 dogs don’t know what to make of this gentle intervention.
