The West Highland Terrier in this video is Lawrence. His dad is teaching him to ring a bell if he wants cheese. Don’t you think Lawrence learns this skill really well? The thing is: I am not sure who is training whom. I wonder what else Lawrence can ring the bell for. Maybe “Open the door for me, Dad” or “Is dinner ready yet?” or “Take me for a walk.” I know someone who trained her dog to pull on a bell when she wants to go outside. It helps to meet her dog’s needs more efficiently.
