The puppy in this video is seeking warmth from the mom’s long ear. Actually this is a newborn Weimaraner puppy.
The puppy’s feeling a bit cold, and intuitively it knows where to find warmth. The tired mom is just resting. And fortunate for this young pup, Weimaraners have relative long ears. So the intuitive newborn climbs under the mom’s ear and uses her ear as a blanket.
It’s wonderful how nature equips newborn pups with ways to find what they need. At birth, puppies are not yet able to see, hear, or regular their body temperature. Yet this newborn is able to find itself the comfort it needs.
