The dog in this video refuses to give Mom his pacifier. His name is Max. His Mom asks him repeatedly to give her the pacifier. Every time, Max pushes his Mom’s hand away. Good for him! So what if he finds comfort in a pacifier? Max believes anything that feels good, he should keep doing. And it’s not hurting anyone.
I appreciate Max’s insistence to honor himself by pushing his Mom’s hand away each time she tries to get the pacifier from Max. He listens to one person and one person only–Max! This is a beautiful reminder for us. Whatever the world thinks we should or should not do, only one person gets to decide.
