The happy and energetic puppy in this video is a Teddybear Malshi–a Maltese and Shih Tzu mix. His name is Cooper. What a bubbly personality he has. And his energy level! Watch how often Cooper uses his paws to play with the man. He simply exudes joy. With a little one like this around the house, who wouldn’t feel good all day long? With small puppies like this, it’s important to watch where you step. Watch how his Dad does NOT lift his feet up as he moves about. Around tiny puppies like Cooper, the shuffle is a good way to walk until they learn not to walk between your legs or anywhere that your feet might be.
Characteristics of a Malshi (Maltese and Shih Tzu)
According to Pet Guide, Malshi’s are social people. They would enjoy meeting new friends at the dog park. They need moderate exercise, so 15 minute of exercise a day is good. They enjoy the outdoors, so if you have a yard for them to run around, that’ll be great. Malshi’s are loving and affectionate. They are devoted to their owners. They will even adapt their activity need to yours. If you are more active, they’re happy to be active with you. If you are more laid back, they are happy to just hang out with you. Malshi’s are alert, and will let you know if something isn’t quite right. They also are great learners, so teaching them tricks would be a wonderful bonding activity. This is very much a family dog. He loves being with his family. If left alone too long, they can get anxious. Also, because of their tiny size, they are probably better suited for family with older children. The younger ones may accidentally step on their beloved puppy. You can learn more about Malshi here. Enjoy watching this energetic, bubbly Malshi just delighting in himself.
