The dog in this video is helping a cat friend with her newborn kittens. This is ONE good friend. Only close friends would clean up your newborn babies for you while you are busy cleaning the others in the litter. The dog looks as busy as the cat is in licking the new babies.
Imagine the friendship between these two to share in this experience. Not quite a mid-wife, but almost. I am not 100% sure, but I am guess this dog is a female. She seems to instinctively know what to do, and does it most efficiently. I appreciate the recording of their snoring sounds at the end of the video. It is indeed an exhausting job to deliver and to take care of the newborn kittens. And it took TWO of them!
