The long hair Chihuahua puppy in this video is happy to play with Mom–his human mom. The puppy’s name is Mattie. He’s so eager and ready to play. His mom mentioned something about being a bit sad. Mattie instinctively knows how to cheer her up. Dogs have this wonderful ability we may call sixth sense. I think it’s just normal in their sensory abilities.
There are 2 types of Chihuahua–the short hair ones like the one in the Taco Bell commercial, and the long haired ones. This is a very loyal dog. Loving and gentle with his family. They’ll probably pick one person in the family to attach to, and follow that person everywhere.
What are Chihuahuas like?
They like to sit in your lap, according to All Small Dog Breeds. They can get jealous if you start paying attention to another person or pet. They are yappy, so they make good watch dogs. They’ll bark if anyone even remotely approaches their turf. Not a sociable dog, so you might have to convince your friend that this is truly a sweet dog when there are no visitors.
They tire easily, so short walks are better for them, as they like to explore the world. Be sure to have them on a leash when they are outside because this courageous one have no fear of big dogs and would challenge one that’s many times their size. He gets along with other dogs in the same house if he grows up with them as a puppy. He does prefer the company of other Chihuahuas. Do teach young children to be gentle and respectful of him because he does not like children to tease him or play rough with him.
